virginia start the new school year. >> it will be a nice day to go back to school. it will be a little warm if them as the day heads on. >> but during the morning hours when you are heading to school, not bad at all. temperatures in the 60s for the most part. 70degrees right now in washington. let's take a look at the current conditions being reported at reagan national where the report is 70 degrees. relative humidity is at 73%. winds out of the south at 10 miles per hour. barometric pressure is on the rise. here is a look at the satellite- radar composite for the region. and things look good. we'll see a lot of clear sky this morning. couple of clouds here and there but for the most part, sunshine and not just this morning but through date i today as well. mostly sunny conditions. this will be the 1th day in a row in our area without any measurable rainfall. here is your forecast for today a lot of sunshine today, a little bit warmer than it was yesterday and certainly temperatures above normal. that's a look at the weather. more coming up in a little bit. >> let's get a check of traffic

to maryland and virginia. a state of emergency is already in effect in both states. you can see why when you take a look at the winds out there. >> about >> the good new is it is dragging the worst of its energy away from us. we'll still get gusty winds along the beaches. >> this was a major hurricane yesterday. let's get to t i'll show you the satellite-radar. again, the eye never making landfall although it is brushing the coast of the carolinas up into southern maryland here and southeast maryland as we speak. rain bands as you can see, most impressive, very heavy rain. we've got wind gusts reported up to about 70 miles per hour earlier this morning in cape hatteras. i mentioned it is pushing off to the north and east. it is getting kind of stretched out now. you can see it getting dragged there to the north and east and away from the washington area. the cloud shield all the way back into western maryland and western virginia and that will kind of get pushed out too. so hang in there. we'll have a left cloud cover and even some light showers. but later this afternoon, here in the washing

as you head on the inner loop from virginia into montgomery county. can you see there is some accident activity there in the center of your screen. it is off to the left side of the road and not causing any problems for you if you are headed up towards the bethesda area. heading from maryland into virginia on the outer loop to the right of your screen not affected, no travel lanes blocked and effect is running just fine. wide open there. 95 in virginia, southbound, same story, we've got an accident just south of this scene, south of lorton right before route one in woodbridge. it is off to the right shoulder and you can see not causing a problem here. northbound 95 looks great in fredericksburg all the way up to springfield. vut host lanes pointed north but the restricts are lifted as is the case on all of our highways except for route 50, the john hanson highway. let's look at video we have an earlier accident, veil road at center ridge drive. this is a serious wreck early this morning of his there was an arrest in this accident. there was also some injuries. we had police police on t
